Even before Harvey hit, Kevin Murphy from Church World Service in Austin, called and said he is praying for us and all the people on the Gulf Coast. Right after the brunt of high winds, Rev. Ramona Lopez, our UCC Disaster Coordinator for Houston, checked in to receive our report and she offered prayer and support. Our Family Ministry Team at St. John’s UCC in Rosenberg has located all those who were affected by last year’s flood and they are high and dry with contingency plans. Our building and grounds committee at St. John’s UCC in Rosenberg has assessed the church building and there is no special water damage to report.
