The West Fort Bend County CROP Hunger Walk will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Seabourne Creek Nature Park in Rosenberg (3831 Hwy 36) with registration at 8:00 a.m. and the walk beginning at 8:30 a.m. At the conclusion of the CROP Walk refreshments will be served and a time of fellowship.
All participants taking part are asked to bring 3 can food or personal hygiene items that can immediately be used to assist area families in need. Food items collected will be donated to the Needville Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry and the Helping Hands Food Pantry in Richmond.
All of the funds raised at the West Fort Bend County CROP Walk will be used to help fight hunger around the block and across the globe. For every dollar raised in the walk, 25% stays in our community and 75% is used by the Church World Service to help fight global hunger in over 45 countries worldwide. In addition this year funds will assist recent refugees from Afghanistan settle into the area along with support going to Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.
